Hit or Miss? Tell us what you think about the Oscar night dresses

The Oscars were so much more elegant and sophisticated this year! Most of the gowns on the red carpet were understated, yet rich in drama and flow.

Among the most stunning stars on the Hollywood scene: Anne Hathaway in a strapless champagne gown with circular pailettes, Marisa Tomei’s dramatic dove-gray gown with fan pleats, Taraji P. Henson’s cream-colored layered dress and Freida Pinto’s pop of color in beaded blue with one lace sleeve.

The dashing duo of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt did not disappoint Sunday in classic black and white.

The one-shoulder treatment continues to be a style trend, and a new concept catching on is the origami, asymmetrical look, as seen on model stunner Heidi Klum. Another obvious trend turning heads had to be the slicked back, futuristic, tight hairstyles.

Step 3

How to Find Your Body Type

First determine your body type by taking your measurements; do this with no clothes on the best accuracy. Use a cloth measuring tape, carefully measure your bust line, your waistline, and your hips at their widest point. Don’t fudge these numbers ~ you will only be cheating yourself when you will need this information for making decisions later on!!!

Write these three numbers onto a piece of paper.
B= ________
W= ________
H= ________

Now let’s analyze your body type using the following guidelines.

If your bust, and hips are close in size and your waistline has very little indentation when you look at yourself in the mirror, you have what is called an H body type, straight up and down. Scroll down to see how you can add curviness and femininity to your body type.

If your waist the largest measurement, of the three, you have a round body type. Scroll down to find how to minimize the roundness your body type.

An A body type has a small bust line, average waist and larger hips. You can see tips below on how to balance the bust line and hip measurements.

An hourglass body type will have large bust line, curvy hips, and a narrow waist. See below how to make your figure look elegant and classy!
